Lorcan's Desire
A Whispering Pines Ranch Novel - Book #1
Despite the loving support of his family, Lorcan James wants to try
life on his own, so at twenty-one, he finds himself walking halfway
across the country in search of adventure. What he finds is desperation,
desperation that leads him straight to Whispering Pines Ranch and right
into the path of its strong, arrogant, gorgeous owner, who awakens
something in Lorcan he didn’t even know existed.
Quinn Taylor is up to his neck in grief and frustration dealing with a
neighboring rancher who wants nothing more than to see him go belly-up.
He doesn’t need more complications, but from the moment he lays eyes on
Lorcan, his world turns upside down. Despite finding in Quinn what his
heart craves, Lorcan refuses to be Quinn’s dirty little secret—and Quinn
isn’t the only one vying for Lorcan’s attention. Ranch hand Jess will
happily declare his love for Lorcan to the world, something Quinn won’t
offer—something Lorcan needs above all else

Review: Now don’t fall over in shock, but I had no
choice but to give this book a 5 heart rating. Yes, I know, I’m more of a
4 heart rating kinda girl, but what can I say, this book is brilliant
and the author is evil for the way we have been left hanging and
panting for the next book.
4.5 Kisses from Top2Bottom Reviews
"Anger and agony: those are the primary feelings Lorcan’s Desire
provoked in me. I was so frustrated by the time I got to the end of
this book, in fact, that I had to wait for several days in order to
sort out my thoughts and gather them into some semblance of order. In
short, S.J.D. Peterson rocked the angst, and I loved every word of it."
Quinn's Need
A Whispering Pines Ranch Novel - Book #2
It’s been a year since Lorcan James left Whispering Pines Ranch, and
Quinn Taylor has barely recovered. Only two things keep him from
falling into the abyss of despair: his work at the ranch and his escape
into the world of BDSM at a club called The Push. At The Push, the sound
of men begging him helps drown out the bitter memory of his own voice
begging Lorcan to stay.
When Lorcan comes back to Pegasus, the same blistering heat simmers
between them, but almost nothing has changed. Lorcan is still with
Jess, the man he left the ranch with, and Quinn has captured the
attention of Ty Callahan, a man who will beg Quinn for anything,
anytime, and any way Quinn wants it. Despite how much he wants Lorcan,
Quinn swears he’ll never beg a man again. If there’s one thing Quinn has
learned the hard way, it’s that not even begging can fill love’s aching
need.

5 stars from MM Good Book Reviews
This book is brilliant, the story-line is fantastic, the characters are
incredible and they have developed and become better people since the
last book. The sex is hot, erotic and kinky and there was enough to keep
you humming along nicely. The emotions that you feel during this book
makes your head spin as you just don’t know who you want to come out on
top, Ty or Lorcan. Which one should get Quinn? Jess or Quinn? Which
one should get Lorcan? It’s just so hard to choose.
5 stars from - A Bear on Books
SJD Peterson had crafted a fine, emotional and devastating, yet oddly
hopeful, followup to "Lorcan's Desire" with "Quinn's Need". The three
men - Quinn, Lorcan, and Jess - are all lovingly drawn, with faults and
cracks and desires and virtues. Each has wants and needs, and each are
aware that what exists between Quinn and Lorcan is still unfinished
business. There is a crackling tension that carries over into this
book, even a year later. Their incompleteness is so true to their
characters - Jess quietly complacent in his acceptance, Lorcan
internalizing and doing his version of the right thing, and Quinn
scowling and physically acting out his pain.
And when the elephants in the room are named, they face them. Name them. And do their best to deal with them.
But not all of them. And thank God, there will be a third book in this amazing series.
Ty's Obsession
A Whispering Pines Ranch Novel ~ Book #3
Ty Callahan knew Quinn Taylor was special the moment he first laid
eyes on him. When the angry and heartbroken cowboy finally opens up, Ty
sees the real man inside, and for the first time in years, Ty is ready
to love again. There’s only one problem: Lorcan James. Although Lorcan
has owned a piece of Quinn’s heart for some time, Ty is convinced he is
the better man for Quinn and will stop at nothing to prove it.
Then Blake Henderson, a strong, dominant cowboy, strolls confidently
into Ty’s life, offering an outlet for Ty’s anger, a chance to heal, and
an option for his torn affections. Can Ty look beyond his feelings of
rage and betrayal and find true peace, or will his obsession destroy
them all?

Jo has a couple subplots working in this book. He brings Lorcan and
Quinn’s story to a close and, Conner and John, the parent figures on
Whispering Pines, play a bigger part in this book. Jo works hard to make
his characters real people, flaws and all. The cast of Whispering Pines
is dynamic and will draw you in, making you crave more. I recommend you
start with the first book, but if you want to read them out of order
you can. Jo doesn’t always give you a HEA in the first book, but he does
give a HFN and ties up his loose ends in following books. Hot sex,
BDSM, laughter, tears and beautiful cowboys, what more do you want in a
book. Oh, I know a lead in to the next book in the series. Whose story
will it be? Read the full review

Wren gives Ty's Obsession
TY’S OBSESSION is the best book so far in a set of excellent stories.
The insight into the BDSM lifestyle was sensitively written and made me
understand the need Ty and Blake felt for it. I loved the ending, but
let me warn you, Ms Peterson never lets a good HEA spoil a chance to
leave some threads dangling. I can hardly wait for the next book in the
series.

4 1/2 - 5 stars from MM Good Book Reviews: For Masters & Boyd
A beautiful story about rediscovering the simple things in a
relationship, a kiss hello, a snuggle in front of the T.V., lazy
mornings in bed, a quick phone call to say I love you and most
importantly that nothing is as important as the one you love. I have to
recommend this to everyone who believes in true love and that that love
is worth fighting for. And some incredible hot scorching sex!! (There’s
also a little twist at the end that looks like it could make a great
sequel.)

Simple
The moment when the world tilts on its axis, completely changing
everything. The instant when suddenly everything just falls into place.
The second when a heart shatters into a million tiny pieces, only to
settle back into place, complete for the first time. When an
all-encompassing light surrounds a soul, touching it so deeply a
permanent imprint is left behind. The first time true love is felt.
For Brycen Anderson, it didn't happen as it does on TV or on the
Hollywood screen. There was no fancy movie set or a multi-million dollar
budget. No director taking control. No rehearsals, costumes or media
fanfare. It was…
A passing glance…
A casual touch…
Simple.
Battle Buddy
Shane Tucker joins Uncle Sam's Army at nineteen. Tucker is gay, but not
ready to be open about his orientation and "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" seems
like a convenient way to avoid having to dealing with his sexuality.
The Army suits Tucker; he does well right from the beginning. Things
get harder for Tucker during boot camp when he is assigned a "Battle
Buddy". Owen Bradford is a walking, talking wet dream, with no concept
of personal space--he especially likes being in Tucker's personal space.
Tucker barely survives boot camp living with the constant temptation
that is Owen Bradford.
Two years later, Tucker--now in the Army Ranger program--is paired up
with Owen once again. Getting through training while ignoring the
sizzling sexual tension between him and his "Battle Buddy" might be the
biggest test of Tucker's military career.

The Review:
Battle Buddy is a richly drawn and authentic portrayal of Army training.
S.J.D. Peterson brings Shane Tucker and Owen Bradford vividly to life as they are constantly thrown together during their Army training.
Battle Buddy is an entertaining story written in first person
from Shane Tucker’s point of view. Shane and Owen are well-developed
vibrant characters that are wonderfully realistic and immensely
appealing. Shane’s self-deprecating humor and easy going personality
fully engages the reader in this past paced story.
Ms. Peterson keeps the sexual tension high as Shane fights his attraction to Owen.

MRS CONDIT’S OPINION: SJD Peterson’s BATTLE BUDDY is so
well researched that I felt it was a peek at an Army recruit’s diary as
he went through boot camp and Ranger training.

Always MJ
Matthew Jonathon Parker planned every aspect of his day. From the time
he woke up until the exact minute he crawled back into bed, his day was
set. He wasn't the kind of man to seek out other men in chat rooms. He
certainly wasn't the type to fall in love with someone he only knew from
typed words.
After a six-month online affair, Matty agrees to meet Jay in Florida
for a weekend getaway. Only Jay isn't what Matty expected; although,
perhaps he should have known it was too good to be true.
After all, Jay's screen name AlwaysMJ stands for 'Always making jokes'--or does it?

A well-crafted story that is a fantastic friends-to-lovers plot, but
doesn’t take the easy way of them just falling into each other’s arms.
They both have to work at it and it makes it a more enjoyable read for
its readers.
I recommend this to those who love friends to lovers, angst, some
erotic loving, great characters and a happy ever after, after a few
bumps in the road.

Always MJ by SJD Peterson is a wonderful heartwarming
romance that will have you grinning from ear to ear as Matty and Jay
fight their way to happily ever after. The plot is fresh and unique and
an unexpected twist adds another layer to the Matty’s new relationship.
The protagonists are marvelously flawed and easy to relate to. There
is just enough conflict to keep the story moving at a fast pace and SJD Peterson perfectly wraps up this divine romance with a fabulous epilogue.
Definitely a book for the keeper shelf.
